This is book one of a story I will be creating! Otterkits Rise... Otterkit is a small runt of the litter. She has HUGE green eyes and has a calico patterned tail and rim of her back. The rest is white. Can somebody please draw her?

Yawning, Otterpaw opened her eyes. She didnt want to get up, but then she remembered. It was her first day as an apprentice! She leaped to her paws and dashed out of the den. Otterpaw trotted over to the freshkill pile, picking out a rabbit. It was the middle of Greenleaf, and prey was plentiful. Padded over to the shelter of a boulder, Otterpaw sat down to eat.

While gnawing on a bone, she looked around. Seeing her mentor, Leaftail, standing by the entrance, Otterpaw bounded over to her. Leaftail looked down at her, "Well come on then!", She mewed, amusement glowing in her eyes. Embarrased, Otterpaw followed her out. "Right now, we are in Blazeclan territory. We will visit the borders of the other clans today." Leaftail lectured,

"By the time you are a warrior, you will know every mousetail of our territory." Thrilled at the idea of being a warrior, Otterpaw straightened up. "Dont get too excited! Youve just started training!" Leaftail purred, who obviously noticed that. Otterpaw shyed away, while Leaftail tried holding back a mrrow of laughter. Together they padded towards the Breezeclan border.

As they arrived, a strong scent hit Otterpaw. It was cat for sure, just... "Thats the scent of Breezeclan." Leaftail whispered, her eyes narrowed. Otterpaw nodded slowly, making sure to remember it. The rest of the day was spent trailing the borders and remembering the scents. Otterpaw was overwhelmed when they returned, her mind swimming. Then her stomach growled.

Two Moons had passed since Otterpaw had been made an apprentice. Her brothers had seen it as moons of fun. She, on the other paw, thought it was moons of checking elders for ticks. Right now, Otterpaw was in battle training with Leaftail. "Attack me." She ordered Otterpaw. Otterpaw nodded, and aimed a lunge straight for her paws. She pounced, but Leaftail easily stepped aside.

Hissing with frustration she lunged straight for her throat. Otterpaw bowled her over, baring her teeth. Then she leaped off. "Hows that?" she spat. Leaftail got up, wideeyed, trembling. Suddenly Otterpaw felt guilty. "Hey. Im sorry... I was just frustrated..." she mumbled, staring at the ground. Leaftail shook herself and got right back into position. "My turn." She growled.

Otterpaw narrowed her eyes, shifting her weight into her paws. Leaftail showed no emotion, though her eyes betrayed her aim. As she struck Otterpaw nimbly launched herself square onto her shoulders. Unbalancing Leaftail, she shoved her muzzle into the dirt. Gently she climbed off of Leaftail. The Warrior got up and her looks showed she was impressed.

"Well done!"She purred with delight. "Come on, lets go eat!" She meowed. Then the two continued towards the camp. When they arrived, both headed for the fresh kill pile. Once again she picked out a rabbit. Leaftail grabbed a plump thrush. Otterpaw headed towards the apprentices den and sat next to her brothers. "Why do you always pick rabbits?" Oakpaw asked, nudging her rabbit.

" Its the first freshkill Id tasted." she mewed. Then a purr escaped her mouth as Seedpaw, her best friend, layed down beside her. Seedpaw was a thick furred, pale yellow shecat. "Good news!" She mewed to Otterpaw, "Stripedstar has chosen us to go to the gathering!" Otterpaw pricked her ears. She had forgotten the gathering was tonight!

****** Stripedstar led the way towards the Five Oaks. As he gave the signal, all the the cats plunged down. Otterpaw felt thrilled as she ran beside her clan. As they ran in, Otterpaw drifted off towards a group of apprentices. Four other apprentices were sitting together. "Hi..." Otterpaw mewed awkwardly. A light brown shecat mewed,

"Hi! Im Heatherpaw! This is Jaypaw, Nightpaw, and Bramblepaw." Otterpaw smiled and nodded to each of them. Heatherpaw turned and started talking to Nightpaw and Bramblepaw. Jaypaw looked at her. "Hey" She stammered. He smiled warmly and beckoned for her to sit next to him. "Which clan are you from?" Jaypaw asked, staring his clear blue gaze. "Blazeclan. You?" She asked.

"Streamclan. You have pretty eyes." He said. Otterpaw looked away, blushing. She was about to say something when the leaders yowled. Yellowstar was talking, though Otterpaw didnt pay much attention. She was too busy staring into Jaypaws eyes. A sensation she had never felt before creeped up her spine.

(Now oakpaws point of view!) Oakpaw stared up the great tree, but he wasnt listening. He was too lost in thought to. Why did Patchfur keep getting ticks so often? Did he roll in weeds all day? Suddenly, Ravenpaw nudged him. "Its time to go!" He murmured.
