【豆知識:忍者刀について】別名「忍刀:ｼﾉﾋﾞｶﾞﾀﾅ」とも呼ばれる忍者刀、実は通常の日本刀よりも刃渡りが短く、扱いやすくなっているのが特徴。また、忍者刀は武器としての用途だけでなく、納刀状態(鞘に収納した状態)でも足場の代用として使えるようにもなっている。実際、城の石垣をよじ登ったり、大名屋敷の塀を乗り越えたりできるというわけ。もちろん、鞘にも秘密があって、水中潜行時のシュノーケルの役割も果たせる。コレ、知ってた？

確かその足場に利用する用途もあって、この時代の日本刀の様に軽く反った形状ではなく、直刀になっているんでしたよね？
