What level is your Link? You might just need to grind out some more levels to make him stronger. As for the level itself, best thing you can do is use the Guard Breaker mixture from the Apothecary in the bazaar. Focusing on wiping out enemy captains will help keep your allies up and fighting, and be sure to rescue them quickly when/if their life bar gets so low they're "in danger."

Note: Guard Breaker won't help you against Volga when he's fully boosted. I find it's easiest to run around and KO all the enemy captains, then mop up the little guys afterward. Taking the Sanctums should be your last priority. KOing a captain has the added bonus of reducing morale of glowing enemy troops in the immediate vicinity, making them less dangerous and easier to kill.

For example, when Lana discovers the South Sanctum, if you take out the dinolfos attacking her and leave, she'll eventually take out the keep herself. The dino is the only real threat. You might also try playing through the level on a lower difficulty setting. That may give you te chance you need to figure out a good attack strategy before you get overwhelmed. Good luck!
