I've decided to completely ignore all the Zelda "timelines" other than the fact that the Majora's Mask Link is the same Link from OoT.

  • what about WW, PH, and ST? and SS?

    Yeahs0
  • Because it's so convoluted that I'd rather just focus on the games themselves.

  • What about Zelda 1 and AoL? It's the same Link in those games. Same with ALBW and TFH. It's also clear that both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess takes place after OoT. Then there is a connection to ALttP, OoS, OoA, and LA.

  • I am speechless, this is pure cancer

  • The timeline, however you slice it, is canon.

    Yeahs0
  • @mrflarion what exactly are you saying is cancer?

    Yeahs0
  • I just don't care enough to put the research into understanding the supposed chronological order of all the Zelda games. Why not just enjoy the games and the series as a whole?

    Yeahs0
  • Cancer now is a replacement for the word cringe, I try too avert using it unless the post is absolute trash (I misjudged the post at first and thought it was worse then it was, still bad, not AS bad though, sorry for the inconvinience)

    Yeahs0
  • And that works too, but regardless the timeline is canon

    Yeahs0
  • I don't have a problem with the time line being canon. I'm not hating on it, just saying I don't care about it.

  • k

  • I think the core of the series' story is the themes, not how it fits together, similar to some of Earth's convoluted mythology and legends. In fact, the creators might want players to have fun devising their own connections. The official timeline exists only because people wanted one, and it is still officially subject to change, as stated in the Hyrule Historia.

    Yeahs1
  • That makes sense.
