I have successfully drawn my dad into the world of Breath of the Wild. I have not been on my Switch for two months as a result.

I think your dad's trying to get spoilers about the master sword

    Yeahs1
  • He actually found it yesterday, so nope.

    Yeahs0
  • Dude, that's miraculous! My parents hate video games, especially Zelda, so much!

That's great, having common ground with family memers thru games in that way and all that. Kudos for that!

  • Thanks to both of you!

*family members (Though maybe they're "memers," too? They like memes? No?) ;)

    Yeahs1
  • @Ray I've never known them to use memes.

  • That's really cool. My mom used to play Super Mario World as a kid and she kind of still likes playing videogames. On the other hand, my dad isn't really a fan of them, and every time I spend money on them he says it's a waste of money lol.

    Yeahs2
  • @Habieru My mom doesn't play video games, and my dad doesn't play often, but it's an enjoyable hobby for him. I personally see video games being of greater value than the public makes them out to be, since it teaches you how to strategize or apply different skills to different environments.

  • My parents support my gaming hobby, even though they don't have the reaction speed to play the kind of games I prefer the most. They do play Wii (U) bowling at least ^^. I would say there are a lot of values in games, like for people who have English as their second language can learn a lot of English from games or at least drive your interest to learn English :-).

  • Post 3: My father used to play Sonic the Hedgehog when he was a kid. He never really played anything afterwards. Until he watched me play BOTW. He thought it was awesome. I was no longer able to play the Wii U while he was home and not busy. But then, we got a Switch, and it came with BOTW. Now we can play it at the same time.

    Yeahs2
  • That's Awesome, My father was interested on play Assassin's Creed, so after gived to him a short explanation about the story I created to him an account of AC 3, but he only do short sessions because he fail a mission like 3 times and said "Tomorrow I will continue playing." Thing that never do. So I have give up trying to show him the world of the video games. I can't imagine him playing BotW.

    Yeahs2
  • My mother says that Breath of the Wild is very depressing and ships Zelda and Link ...Oh my ....

    Yeahs1
  • Oh, and my mother also has a childhood friend that her mother used too play the early 2d Zelda games ...she loves Super Mario and Zelda , her daughter told me she keept playing hours and hours .

    Yeahs1
  • My mom doesn't play video games anymore but she and my dad grew up with the NES. Also he played the first 5 loz games AND beat oot 2 times, but thinks botw is too open :/

    Yeahs2
  • You can draw in BOTW?! :O

    Yeahs1
