    The worst thing is that I need Taranza and Tougher Telepathos so I can buy the platinum and Platinum DX sword. I should have bought that first before the one for the Beam mage

    We share the same pain! I also only have tougher: telepathos to platinum in the volcano. FYI I also have to platinum Tougher: Greater Doomer in the dunes. So... three things out of the decisive battlefield I need to platinum.

    Try using 4 beam mages. He surprisingly usually flies low at the point the charged beam hits him (try to time your beams), i got platinum easily on him.
