    I do indeed, Miss Aidan. Odd things can trigger a sudden bout of sadness. You are not alone. I'm a big fan of 'Til Tuesday in general. The entire "Voices Carry" album is on YT if you're interested in a listening to a collection of melodic, vaguely morose New Wave. I own all three of their albums.

    Boy Wonder, I only know that one song...and it's a real killer of a one hit wonder. Never got deeper into their catalog...but it's a very sad and incredibly catchy tune!

    I associate that song with being in kindergarten, because it was on the radio often. It was one of the first songs I recall enjoying. Even then, I gravitated towards darker, minor key songs with a sort of haunting quality.

    Neither, actually! I like a few Smiths songs, but their music has never resonated with me. I find some of their music a bit too stripped down and acoustic for my tastes. I prefer music from that era with a somewhat cold, detached, synthetic sound.

    I kind of agree, but I'm also a fan of metal punk soul modern and prog rock from that era. Early to mid 80's was a good era for music!
