【昨日は、エルビスの40回目の命日】米国最大のロックスター、エルビス・プレスリー。「ロックンロールの王様」とも呼ばれるエルビスは、42歳の若さでこの世を去った。彼の自宅があるテネシー州メンフィスは、聖地として数多くのファンが訪れている。代表曲は、「Jailhouse Rock:監獄ロック/Heartbreak Hotel:ハートブレイク・ホテル」等。エルビスなくして現代のロックはないと言えるかも。もしかしたら、オリヒメ様こと衣通姫(ｿﾄｵﾘﾋﾒ)様も彼のことを偲んでたりして。
