The Great Sage is the guy who saves you from the Dark Lord early on. He encounters you several times later on. They wear a white robe with green trim. (I think they're always green, but my Great Sage is Iwata in his Green shirt so he may look different with different favorite colors.)

Maybe White hair if you want an older Great Sage because 1. Old Age is associated with white hair and wisdom. 2. As mentioned before, White as a color associated with Purity, but is easily corrupted, to foreshadow the transformation into the Darker Lord.

well, i'm making a start. she's probably gonna have blue hair that fades to white at the ends. (kinda like the opposite of the robes)
