Why people dislike skells in Squad Missions.
I would agree with Travis in the previous discussion that players have the right to use skells if it's more fun for them and GN is here alot, but GN isn't always here so we go to Squad Missions to fill the multiplayer void. And honestly, doing solely GN multiplayer can get old.

or there aren't enough people interested in the multiplayer aspect that it warrents their input. again, all I can really hope for is that there's a XCX2 and that its an MMO.

@zer0 I've put more blame on the publishers, not the developers. Publishers are the ones who set the budget, the deadlines. Developers have to work with that time frame and budget. There are bound to be things that are cut because of the lack of time, or the lack of resources. Bad business practices come from the publishers more often then the developers. 1st Day DLC and Preorders in particular.

Yeah, I was wrongly blaming the devs and feel bad for that.... @Qrow: I actually laughed at what you said, "Nintendo's Assassin's Creed" was funny and I completely agree about Activision. @Reki: I think Gamestop's used sales aspect is to blame for pre-order practices. I read that the companies get NONE of the money gained from used sales. :/ That may also be why games are more expensive now....

New games used to cost on average $50 in the US, now they cost $60...I even read that EA tried to sell their games at $80! I'm still sceptical though......are they REALLY that greedy?!

That is not self-imposing of limits since the room host has the right to impose the limits. If we feel hurt just because we can't join them, ask ourselves why? Did they intentionally hurt your feelings? If we felt hurt just because we thought we were being pushed away, then that's our own fault of feeling hurt, not theirs. But people who intentionally do are definitely wrong for doing so.

No, it's definitely self imposing. There is no "right"; You're making up arbitrary rules contrary to the game's rules. This isn't Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros where whoever hosts the room literally has control of the game's rules and can alter them to force others to comply with them. It's effectively just a glorified suggestion.

@SquidAxl. I meant "mainly" using skell in squad missions especially RP runs.

Look at this screenshot. It should be /thread with this. Skells: Allowed. That is the rules that the game set out for this Squad Mission. Anything contrary to that is imposing your own set of rules.

And on the flipside of that, as you can see from this screenshot... Skells: Prohibited. That is the law of the land. That is the true "right". The game sets out rules for Squad Missions, and players comply with them. Anything else is just putting your own rules into place.

I respect your preference to use ground setups as opposed to Skells. I find it more fun that way myself, especially for the larger enemies. There's something satisfying about killing something 100x your size...

But every player has the right to play the game the way it was intended. If someone doesn't want to play the game the way it was intended and instead prefers to limit themselves to ground gear only, then if they want others to comply with it as well, then they have the burden of communicating it. Again, no one can read minds, nor does everyone read Miiverse posts, so you can't assume they'll know

If someone or the majority of the room/lobby members do not follow the host, so why host then. There is no point on that. Having fun is a common goal and players with several same goals can play together, either with ground or skell only limit. Do not blame anyone that impose limits just because we think we're hurt by them, when we ourselves ignore the rights and choices we have.

@Travis. I never said I preferred ground builds over skells because most of people here knows I prefer skells. And I never said no-skell limit only. It applies on both sides.

I think about it this was. In the US, we have the right of free speech, that includes saying rude things to others, but is every US citizen rude? No, we try to respect others and get along with them. Same for online here, they HAVE the right to use them but they disrespect our requests. I honestly blame the producers for abandoning this game, completely abandoning it.....

Like 'su said, respect is important. It applies IRL too. If you host your own child's birthday party and limit hard drinks to the evening, then some people went drinking anyway and cause children getting hurt, what the point of putting the limits? It the host's right and responsibility to protect the children. That's common sense or respect is not in mind at all...

Last Post of this Discussion. @Tabs There's a reason why the term "Vote with our Wallets" exist. Money talks, and bad practices from companies stop when the flow of money stops. It really is a simple matter when all the complexities break down. But nothing is ever perfectly Black and White. There is always Gray. If there's one thing that really gets on my nerves, its shady practices.
