  When you KO a giant boss using a weapon with Rupees+ on it, there is a random chance that the rupee count "jumps" by anywhere from a few tens of rupees up to a few thousand rupees. Occasionally, the count "jumps" BACKWARD, which can possibly "rewind" the count below zero rupees. When the count resumes normally, it stops at 9,999,999 rupees (the maximum amount).

  Since the "jump" is random, it doesn't happen every time, and it jumps backward very rarely. I can usually get the glitch to work at least once within 30 tries -- often less, if I'm lucky. The less rupees you have when you KO the giant boss, the better your chances the count will jump far enough backward to pass zero (IF it jumps and IF it does jump backward).

  Watch the green rupee count in the lower-right corner of your screen. Once you KO the boss, you'll be able to see if you triggered the glitch with a few seconds. If you fail, hit your + button and restart the level. I prefer to use Lana with the Summoning Gate, since her Argorok-riding combo does tons of damage and won't trigger a smash attack.

  It may take several tries, but the good news is you will learn which combos work best for each character, and it will become faster and easier to do for you. Just keep at it 'til you succeed! Good luck!

  See I thought that part of the algorithm to determine how many rupees you get included "-x" in there somewhere, subtracting a random amount between 1-100. Doesn't really matter. As long as you have less than 100 when the boss goes down. Also maybe it's just for ne but I usually have a better chance at getting around the 40 range. Anyway. Just took me an hour. Best of luck.   So far, I've managed to do the rupee glitch with Link (Sword), Impa (naginata), Lana (summoning gate), Ganondorf (swords), Ruto, Agitha, Ghirahim, Cia, Wizzro, and Twili Midna. Lana is just the easiest and quickest for me. With her level at maximum and using a level 3 weapon with Legendary and Hasty Attacks, I can usually KO a boss in just under 30 seconds per try.

  The "Rupees+" ability seems to assign a random bonus (or occasional penalty) each time it activates. I'm not sure what the actual limit is up or down, but it seems to be somewhere between -100 and +2,500 rupees, from what I can tell. When I've succeeded, my rupee count before the jump was usually between 20 and 50 rupees.
