咲良との会話から:ドカベン水島新司さんが週刊少年チャンピオン誌上で連載していた漫画で、野球が題材。単行本は全48巻、文庫本で全31巻。神奈川県の明訓高校野球部に所属する主役の「ドカベン」こと山田太郎とチームメイトの岩鬼正美、殿馬一人などの仲間たちを中心にした野球漫画。主な舞台は、高校野球である。発表当時、リアルな描写を盛り込んだ本作は斬新で、躍動感もあったため、野球漫画の新境地を開拓した。また、本作はTVアニメにもなっている。
