Question

Only partially XCX related.

Just saw a post on the page where they announce the nemesis status, not asking for any bashing, he can believe what he wants, but there was a comment on there about the language in the game making it unGodly. I'm not religious, but this is a serious question. Why is it that two words can have identical means in context, but one is a cuss word and the other is not?

Honestly, I really doubt the Pope would deem the words acceptable with no ill intent. :/ I mean, can you honestly see him using them? It'd be tough for the mass to accept him deeming it okay & even using them himself. Well, he IS different than the previous ones...he accepted aliens, rides a Harley motorcycle and......I can't remember at the top of my head. :/ Point is, it'll be hard to change.

I'm religious, and I don't care for swearing too much. If others swear around me, that's their right. I just won't swear myself.

Zer0 Even among atheists, they are still generally taboo, dependent on the setting at least for the most part. Doubtful the popes opinion on anything would sway them. I'm terrible about swearing, mostly a habit I got from the military. Though, I have noticed that most of the time, its the older generation that detests language, which definitely gives credit to it being a religion provoked taboo

Religion is overrated imo, certain religions are, imo, the biggest and longest-lasting con in the history of humanity! It by no means opens your eyes, it welds them shut to the real world, I don't mean to offend anyone, but at the end of the day it's just about money and power, they boast of not needing material possessions yet they throw everything they own in that direction and squander it all!

While history has proven that greedy, selfish people have hidden themselves in positive images, there are TONS of truly good people in the said positive groups. You can easily look it up, not saying since one of my posts were "removed" even though I didn't think I said anything that violated their policies. -_- You'd be surprised what you find in their books (all I will say). -_-'

I had forgotten how corrupt this company is.... Nint£ndough has been corrupt ever since they wronged what became their worst competition. Then Mi¢ro$oft corrupted gaming even worse with their anti-consumer policies and possibly the first paywall system for gaming, if too much of the money goes JUST to those on top, not to everyone & performance. $on¥ soon followed the money, then Nint£ndough...

This makes me want to abandon this company I now call Nint£ndough like they abandoned us all... If they continue to treat their customers like this...I mean ALL game giants, then I see the end of gaming unless AT LEAST one company rises above the greed. I hope "CD Project Red" rises to console power with their virtues. To Miiverse...it helped me quite a bit, but good riddance to the strict ways!

Incase my posts get "removed" I'll say this... The game company called CD Project Red is one of if not THE best gaming companies, not just for their games...but their VERY high standards and I REALLY hope that they rise to console power! Can anyone name other VG companies with ACCEPTABLE standards (sharing morals of customers)? If so please say who & why. On topic: Why's X not the jump button?

CD Project Red has these great standards (that I remember rn). FREE DLC, that's right....FREE! They made quite a bit of FREE DLC content...I forgot to download it, so not sure how much. >_< Free updates that even ADD to the game (IE. new haircuts) along w/ fixes. If the DLC isn't free, it's FILLED w/ content that rivals even FULL GAMES! NEVER day one DLC! On topic: Get scouts to lvl 3 for medals

The biggest issue I have against religion really is how much it has stifled human advancement in the fields of science, engineering, and medicine. I respect faith, but once faith is replaced by religion... well, you guys seem to have found the post I referenced in the original comment. It's not a christian or even the pope that uses religion to slow progress, its the church.

That being said, people don't even have to believe in higher powers anymore to through science into the wind... Look at the antivaccince crowd and the flat earthers. I guess people are going to try to slow progress regardless if it is in service to a deity or not.

Also, do you know who J.P Morgan was? Was also known as the richest man in the world at one time I believe. What about Nikola Tesla? Know about his achievements?

I know of Tesla extensively (I'm partially Serbian so I did some research on well known Serbian individuals and their achievements) In fact, my idolization of Tesla is what convinced me to persue a career in engineering. All I really know about J.P. Morgan was that he was funding Tesla until he discovered he couldn't plug in a powermeter to charge electrical outflow from Wardencliff.

Look up more about J.P Morgan, you'll be disgusted.... He may be the only person I actually hate....if I do...I don't want to feel that way to anyone. You'll probably rage and use your military words when you find out what all he did.

Going back to the other topic... Iwata was the only person who kept the company keep morals, even if he couldn't completely do so...if I'm right. I miss Iwata so much.....

I remember Thomas Edison being an extreme jerk from the research. Especially when it came to Tesla. You are sure your not confusing the two? I remember J.P. Morgan funded Tesla for the longest time until he found out Tesla was planning on making electricity free for everyone, which really sucks, but someone was going to get the short end of the stick either way.

What Edison did though with kidnapping pets and even electrocuting an elephant with AC current, and blasting people with X-rays without any regard for safety and every other practice he did just to tear down Tesla's image/research went far past the point of just cutting losses like J.P Morgan did. I hate elitists above all else, which is probably why Edison disgusts me as much as he does.

BOTH were terrible......Edison lied to Tesla and even created the......"E. chair", people were disgusted. He even used an elephant...... JP Morgan stole Tesla's invention if I'm right. :/ Also....look up what he has done...TRUST me, you will be disgusted! There's a "bad" business practice named after him, you'll see him VERY differently! The practice's name has his last name, I'd say it but...-_-

I'll look it up later, right now, I'm not going to try to distract myself with anything too indepth. Also, I'm gonna apologize for my last comment to directed at Bongo, but, I can pick up that elitist point of view he has through text, even through text format. a lot of Christians feel the same way he does, I know, but, a lot have the decency to keep their opinions to themselves.
