Platinum really is good at making games that are rewarding if you put in the time and practice. I don't think they went overboard this time, and that's good with everything considered.

    Game could have been much better, in my opinion. Original story, control options, more content, less mechanic testing thing and more good old formula gameplay,... Although the game was solid. I'd give it a 7.5/8 out of 10, nowadays. That nostalgia feeling was strong although could have been much more original.

    I thought it was original. I haven't played a Star Fox game like this before, but I understand the superficial 64 references. Im happy they restarted the story with some modifications. I would like a true sequel, and now it's possible.

    Story was exactly like StarFox 64 except modified here and there. But I hear. Next game has to be a good sequel.

    I think that's the only reason why they used 64's premise once more: build up for a sequel. I've been dieing for a real sequel. With any luck this game was new for a newer generation.
