Can Deerling have Baton Pass

I want my deerling to have the move Baton Pass for my moveset Bulbapedia said that it could have that move if you breed it with other pokemon After breeding it w/ the listed pokemon, nothing was happening; it didnt learn the move am i doing something wrong? or is Baton Pass not an egg move anymore?

    Make sure the parent passing down Baton Pass actually has the move.

    The pokemon you want the move from must be male and have the egg move in it's moveset when put into the daycare with the female Deerling. As long as it's kept in there under those confitions, only the offspring will be born with the desired egg move(s), the mother will never learn it, that's not how egg moves work.
