    They have said why. It says on a facts Nintendo put out, that among other reasons, it is because people stopped using Miiverse and started to go on a different social media.

    That Swindle and how poor the admins are on Miiverse. This place was easy to false report and get innocent users banned. Which also scares off other users as where would the point be in using a Social Media where you can still be banned even by following the rules.
