Question

what Pokemon should I use for the Mega Melee online competition?

So I interning this online competition. Rules: singles Allowed: Can only use Pokémon that can mega evolve Mega stones and z crystal allowed Only allowed to use one of three Pokemon you chose in each match. Not Allowed: Mythical and Legendary Duplicate items Plz comment bellow on what Pokemon I should use.

    There are quite a few Pokémon that are still viable even without Mega Evolution. Those include: Gyarados, Gengar, Garchomp, Tyranitar, Salamence, Gardevoir with Z-Hypnosis, Scizor, Metagross, Slowbro, and Diancie. It's really take your pick but I would prefer either Charizard, Gyarados, Gengar, Aggron, or Manectric taking up that Mega slot.

    It's up to what you want to use, I'd say try picking a team that doesn't have many common weaknesses so your opponent has a harder time choosing which pkmn to bring to the battle

    @Matthew: Well I am really limited since can only use Pokémon that can mega evolve. Trying to make team will be difficult. @Alex: Thanks! Some those Pokemon I have BR so might as well use them. I can't use Diancie since it's special legendary. Do you recommend Charizard y or X? I am only asking since that I only have Charizard X.

    Charizard X is probably better to use at this competition. Because if it sets up one Dragon Dance the opponent will not have much to stop it. The only real checks to Mega Charizard X are Mega Slowbro, Gardevoir (if it's locked into Outrage), Mega Gyarados, and Mega Blastoise. Yeah, you do not want Charizard to set up because it'll be nearly unstoppable after using one Dragon Dance.

    Of course I will participate in the Mega Melee. I'm having the same problem like you on choosing which ones to use in the competition. Especially to check the most powerful Pokémon in the competition like Charizard and Gyarados.

    I notice most on the list are dragon type and are weak to fairy/dragon. At least what I seen.

    Alex by any chance you have gastly with egg move perish song and disable? I need them for breeding. Let me know soon since I may use gengar for online competition.

    Unfortunately I don't have a Gastly with Disable and Perish Song... I was thinking of using Gengar in a standard way with some tricks up its sleeves.

    Oh well at least I tryed. Only reason I asked beacuse I might use gengar on VGC team after the online competition over. I might ask my gamer friend Troy. He helps me with breeding sometimes. Unfortunately since MV ending in Nov. 7 I will not be able to get help if I need it. I am awar of other places but I don't use them personal reasons.
