    Introducing Alolan Girafarig - a regional variant based on an Okapi. It came out looking more like a reindeer than an Okapi or giraffe, sadly.I took some liberties with what has stripes and what doesn't to try and make it look more like a Girafarig. Hope you like it, Giraffe. And congrats again on winning.

    Even with gen 2 VC coming out, it seems there won't be Alolan variants of gen 2 Pokemon in the Ultra games. Thanks for this. Girafarig and giraffes in general need more love.

    I like the idea of one half is brown and the other half is zebra like. Real life okapis are zebra-like on their legs and brown on the main body so nice rearrangement of it. I try not to make a preconceived conception of what I wanted in art requests. Also I have been distracted by many other things to remember my request all the time. What typing would you give it?

    That's a good question. Maybe since Zebstrika is an electric type Normal/Electric? But I've always felt Girafarig's back half was its "Dark Side" so maybe Normal/Dark?

    Going to be very weak to fighting with not much benefits. Normal typing helped the psychic typing of original Girafarig with its immunity to ghosts. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Marowak do not share any typing with their Kanto versions.

    Alolan Exeggutor, Geodude and Raichu do. What do you reckon would make a good typing? Also, its proportions looked a lot less ridiculous on the TV screen.
