    @Null, In Japan, In order to get a Ash Cap Pikachu, it was something about boarding a flight or something but I think you have to watch the movie, Pokemon, I Choose You! in order to get it.

    They just announced the international release a couple hours ago Starting September 19, they will post a public code on the Pokemon website which will work until October 30. This code will will give you a different Ash Pikachu depenending on which week you use it. However, you can only use the code once, so you have to pick when to use the code to get the Ash Pikachu you want the most.

    also if you go and see the movie you get a qr code that gets you a pikachu wearing the cap that ash wears in the movie in ultra sun and moon plus a amazing rare pokemon tcg card thats ash pikachu

    You don't need a Global Link account in order to get Ash Cap Pikachu or any other Pokemon, if so, the Pokemon Site would say so.

    No account needed or anything. They will just post the code on the pokemon website. People will be posting it all over pokemon websites, I'm sure. Just remember, you can only use the code once per save, so you have to use it whenever the Ash hat that you want is available.
