【ひろききのコースシリーズ制作の思い出(3)】第3シリーズは「Water world」。マリオワールド水中スキンで展開されるコースシリーズだ。水中コースではマリオの動きが鈍くなるし、敵も地上とは違った性質へと変わるから難易度調整が大変。なので水中一本ではなく、他のシーンスキンも組み合わせた。水のある場所っぽく見せるために、氷ブロックや青リフトの使い方などデザイン面も大きなポイントだった。マリオワールド水中スキンの半当たり地形は海底神殿っぽいデザインという点は、初めて見た時は本当に驚きだった。本家マリオワールドよりも高いクオリティーに驚きを隠せなかった。
