最初の目的地、刺巻駅に到着！刺巻湿原は秋田県仙北市田沢湖にある湿原でミズバショウとザゼンソウが綺麗な事で有名。湿地帯一面に白い花が咲くのは珍しく道路や駅に近い山間に群落とハンノキ林があるのは学術上でも貴重のようです。湿地内には木道が整備されていて毎年ミズバショウの開花に合わせて「刺巻水ばしょう祭り」が開催され、郷土料理や特産品の販売、イベント等が行われているそうです。
