Nursery Swapping?

Is it still possible to Nursery Swap/Egg Reject Nursery Swap, or have those features been patched out? Because I'd like to breed a shiny Bounsweet so I can guarantee the gender of a shiny Pumpkaboo with the Egg Reject Nursery Swap.

    If you are trying to guarantee that the shiny will be female, it won't work like that. Each egg has a pre-determined gender that depends on the gender ratio of the species. So if you hatch a ♀ shiny from a 100% ♀ species, then swap to a 50% ♀ species, the shiny can be male. But if you hatch a ♀ shiny from a 50% ♀ species, then swap to another 50% ♀, the egg will be ♀.

    Also, due to how the mechanics of swap breeding work, it's not a good idea to start with a Genderless or 100% gender species then swap to a species with a gender ratio. You could end up overshooting the shiny egg this way, due to how gender affects egg rolls. While there isn't a way to guarantee with certainty that the shiny will be female, you can try playing around with the eggs to try and...

    get a different shiny. For example, if you know that the next egg will be shiny, try rejecting it, then accepting the egg after that. That next egg may still be a shiny, but now with a different gender/ability/IVs. And if you get another male shiny, try rejecting 2 eggs, then accepting the next. Usually this will work to try and re-roll the shiny egg. And if it doesn't work, you can always reset.

    Hmm I have a shiny pumpkaboo so if it turns out to be the gender you didn't want I might be able to help (I'm not 100% sure what it's gender so)
