Is it possible to transfer glitched mew from gen 1 through poke bank?

    To answer your second question that depends on the person. Some people will view it as not legit because it came because of a glitch while others will view it was legit because it was not illegally modified by a third party gaming device.

    or using 8F and a very specific combination you can turn mew's OT into GF and it's ID no. into 22796 making it transferable. I know that theGF version it is less risky. So when you catch a mew you can automatically send it off. Using 8F you can also turn pokemon shiny and manipulate their IVs. :D

    When you transfer Pokemon if their dv's (ancient iv's) are right the game makes them shiny Pokemon on transfer to Pokebank. 8F is a glitch item.

    Pokemon can only be shiny if they are legendary, gift, or in game trades because of how dv's are randomly determined. In gen 2 when you transferred gen 1 Pokemon the combination was 10 defense, 10 special, 10 speed, and Defense 2/3/6/7/10/11/14/15 dvs. (You'll want a dv calculator) but Pokebank switches the attack and defense dvs.

    I believe a patch in Poke Transporter may very well fix the issue of the attack and defense dvs needing to be backwards. If you are going to intentionally try to hunt in gen 1 you need to find a site that allows you to calculate the dvs of a Pokemon you are hunting. The odds are 1 in 8192.

    Yeah, the latest Pokemon Transporter patch fixed the shiny thing (as well as genders not coming from the Attack IV) After updating, the IVs you need in Gen 1 to become shiny are: HP:0 Atk:2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15 Def:10 Special:10 Speed:10 Although to save you some trouble, any random wild encounter will not be shiny. Only stationary, gift, starter, in-game trade, and fishing pokemon can be shiny.

    You have to use an Gen 1 IV/DV stat calculator to manually check them. However, there are some limitations: -It's almost impossible to check the IVs of lower-level pokemon. You can't really tell with 100% certainty until around the 40s-50s -If you need to level up a pokemon, you must use rare candies or the daycare to do it. Using it in battle can increase its stats and throw off the IV calcs.
