Heyo, I need a bit o' advice here.

I'm thinking about starting to make pixel art (not JUST Minecraft, but on other things as well). I'd like to make original pieces, not a "Oh, get a picture and put it on a grid" sort of deal. Any advice on what you've found helpful, where you get inspiration, etc. would be quite helpful, for I'm new to this. Thanks in advance, I appreciate it.
