Me too XD. That's why the only Tapus I use are Bulu and Fini. I also don't use Magearna or Zygarde. I was in analysis paralysis on Kyurem-B for months, but I finally decided on a set. Anyway, I hope it all works out for you! Here's some advice, even if you're not sure of a certain member on a team, use it anyway. If you lose the battle then you know what to fix. That's what I do at least XD

Team building's so hard man… I get to like, three Pokémon before I feel like adding members makes the team worse. I'm more of a set builder than a team builder, which are you, and what's some of the best/questionable sets you've made, if any?

I'm a better set builder than team builder, but I tend to look online for tips on both. Hmmm, my best set that I came up with is probably life orb Lando-T and all my questionable sets are based on any (normally) shiny pokemon that I get not having the right nature/IVs/moves. The first that comes to mind is my Modest Rotom-Wash without HP ice. I scarfed it and gave it Will-o-wisp instead lol.

Oh right, that seems to be a thing with everyone then. I just undergo heavy analysis paralysis with the constant fluctuation between the two, but lots of people seem content with making teams in minutes. o.o I actually think Scarf Will-o-Wisp is better than HP Ice on Rotom honestly, it hits similar things and you never know when a Bisharp or Mawile gets out of hand and you'd like that safety net.

As for me and sets, they're usually built as answers to things or just to satisfy as a team member. Like in SM OU, I see quite a few problem Pokémon and see if I can bag as many as I can with one Pokémon whilst not providing a larger opening to something else which has a weak answer.

So I built a set earlier for Rotom-H. Calm @NormaliumZ 252HP, 108Def, 4spA, 68spD, 76Spe -Volt Switch/Discharge -Overheat -Psych Up -Toxic/HP Ice Not sure how it'll play out, but Tapu Koko, Volcarona, Magearna, Altaria, etc. seem like a bunch of monsters. Plus it helps against Calm Mind Clefable, Mawile, ZardY, Pinsir, Tangrowth etc.

Sorry for the late response. I ran out of post. Will-o-wisp is better on a bold or calm Rotom with Pain split in my opinion, but it has its uses on scarf set. I've actually built teams quickly before, but I don't really do that much anymore. It depends on who I'm fighting I guess. What's Z crystal do on Rotom-H? My best guess is something that removes stats. If so, that seems pretty nifty.

Does it remove their stats and give them to you like Spectral thief? Oh yeah, Rotom doesn't particularly like being choice locked into Will-o-wisp, so that could lose momentum if you had to switch. Though, I suppose you may have to switch when using HP ice too. It's nice to do so much damage to the plethora of 4x ice weak pokemon with 100 accuracy. Both have their perks.

Z-Psych Up heals you back to full, it's kind of like Resto Chesto but it can't be Knocked Off so it can live a +2 Bisharp unlike the other, it's a better pivot for Tangrowth, and it lets you beat Calm Mind Clefable and Volcarona eventually, or at least pivot or heavily weaken them. I think Will-o-Wisp for Rotom-W's better because it can cripple stuff like Ferrothorn but yeah.

In the event of a Volcarona, you might be able to pull of a reverse sweep actually, which discourages them trying in the first place.

Cool. That sounds pretty useful. I've always wanted a good set for it becsuse Rotom-H's amazing typing plus ability make it resistant to many pokemon like Menectric, Altaria, ect. When it can also function as a stop to a sweep... I should work on getting one of those. Nice idea!

What's the speed for? I know it's for specifically out speeding something, but what? Mawile or Magnezone?
Yeahs1Played -
09/16/2017 2:09 PM ·Spoilers
The Speed is to outspeed speed creeping standard Rotom-W, which outspeeds Adamant Band Tyranitar and defencive Landorus-T. So you can get off some chip damage as you avoid Hydro Pump due to Volt Switch if you opt for it over Discharge, in which case it's extra chip just before you die at the cost of 8 Speed EVs anyway.

Thank you by the way! It took a bit of time to find the defencive spread for it to have the best chance against Tapu Koko, Pinsir, Magearna and Mawile etc. simultaneously. These are its EVs for a Level 50 spread, at Level 100 you might be able to spread it a bit further…
