Dreameon: I think if there's going to be Custom Skins in the New Minecraft, if you choose to work by Default Steve, you should be able to turn off or on certain body parts of the gridded Pixel-art 3D model. But It won't save if its all turned off. at least the Head stays. I'm hoping there's a lot of fun options as the feature updates later, like have a quadruped creature as a skin. :3

Minecrap doesn't have a skin on any systems except for Computor and for off brand editors on android (possibly App Store too) yet cube life got one on Wii u already!
