Nintendo direct was Awesome!
I remember almost a year ago being called crazy for saying how awesome the switch will be and now look where we are now!? The switch is selling like crazy, 3rd party is jumping on board and games keep coming! I also said this holiday season will be switch all the way, it's starting to look that way but we will see. Nintendo is getting it done!

Frank, I don't see the big deal about getting an sd card. I had to get an external drive for my xbox one as well, and I am still running out of room.

I get that SD but I really thought Nintendo mentioned cartridge would be pop in and play and the memory on the console and sd cards would be used for dlc, saved data, and digital purchases...whatever...no biggie. Not saying it bc of my garbage internet but THATS what was separating the switch from ps4/xb1...quick and simple downloads and not too large.

nintendo didnt think games would be so big, when a game has to render the entire nba, not just short med tall and white black tan, like the old days it takes a ton more room

Cloud storage & a way for the base station/home hook up to juggle & then format to the portable side sure would save money. It sorta works this way on the PS4/Vita as all of your purchases are account bound. Nintendo would rather charge you for Metroid for the tenth time though, lol This has always been a gripe of mine even when they were in my good graces. Now with no backward

compatibility & the fact the Switch is portable....they will milk even again! Never mind that some of the games are 3DS. Nintendo has never given a comprehensive account to manage past purchases....they need to. Especially now; especially with their backward non cloud practicing ways. They would rather milk you again & again. Quit saying mooo start saying nooo

Ridley was hinting in my PS4 community on how he was upset with Nintendo profiting off of memory cards & how they have devised their console to funnel cash by needless after market chips/features even when you aren't enjoying pushing "A" or "B" The truth of it is this...it's portable. It has limited memory. Would you consider a mobile phone with no cloud backup or account memory a deal?

Not sure, mossy. Ask the vita. The bottom line is that every gaming machine has storage issues now. It's hypocritical to say Nintendo is milking people for cash when SD flash memory is way way way cheaper than proprietary formats and way more convenient than HDDs

Frank...Prior to Nba 2k releasing, Take two stated that since the Switch version has everything the PS4 and Xbox 1 have, you would need a memory card to have access to the full game.

Also, since memory cards are still more expensive than CD's, if Take Two would've used a bigger memory card, then they would have to charge us Switch owners at least $10 more in order to still make a profit.

Prior to getting my Switch, I caught a sale on a 128gb card for $50. During this holiday season, you should be able to find one cheaper. In my opinion, buying games on the Switch is still better not just for the portable aspect, but you can instantly play without the tedious downloading like on the PS4 or Xbox 1.

I personally don't care if they are making money off me. The enjoyment Ninty has provided me over the past 29 years is immeasurable. It gives me something to look forward to constantly. For what they've provided me, they deserve my disposable income.

If someone wants to complain about how they structure prices for docks, joy cons, wrist straps and pro controllers, that's fair. But memory cards? They chose the cheapest, most consumer friendly option. It's ridiculous to criticize their choice of using micro SD cards

IF you had cloud storage you wouldn't have to have a bunch of memory cards laying around. You could format 1 or two for the games you want to play. It's what I do on my PS4 instead of buying a larger HD. That's just part of the issue. No cloud storage goes hand in hand with no account links to software; it's all system tied. Lose or break your system, your out your digital game as they can't

Restore your profile on a new system with those games included. They must manually do it by re building your digital library based off of the games they decide you have; assuming they even let you do it. Jon I was just as critical of the Vita when Sony was selling there memory sticks...& even before then with that prior disc debacle of a portable
