私の創作の舞台である想夢という国は、精霊人という種族が暮らす自然豊かで素敵な国です。今は他の種族(もちろん人間も)もたくさん暮らしている平和な国なのですが、数十年前のこの国はそれはもう酷いもので夢なんて見られるような国じゃありませんでした。精霊人は昔、人間に狩られていた時代があります。時を経て1度は和解したのですが、↑の…彼女達の父親が王として国を治めていた時に、今度は精霊人が人間を襲い始めます

「想夢に入り込んだ人間は一人残らず排除しろ」自分の子供の頃のようにまた人間が精霊人を狩るのではないかという根拠のない心配が、王を奪う側にさせてしまったのです。人間であればお構いなしに排除、排除、排除… そして人間と関わりを持つ精霊人も罰せられ、最悪処刑されてしまいます。人間と恋仲になるなんて以ての外。昔の想夢はそんな窮屈で息苦しい国だったのです。

さて、この王には「風信」「揺風」「信陸」という3人の子どもがいました。風の精霊人である風信と揺風は双子の兄妹で、2人とも父親のやり方には不満だらけでした。何とかして国を変えたい兄ともう諦めた妹… 2人の弟である土の精霊人の信陸もこの国の状況に意見したいところはたくさんありましたが、気が小さくて父親が怖いので見ないふり…… そしてある日、遂に揺風は王宮を出ていってしまいます。この国の全てが嫌になったというのもありますが、実は理由がもうひとつ。 ……彼女は、恋をしていたのです……この国では決して結ばれない人と。
