Sorcerer's Splatoon Status

For those who've been following/playing with, my USB key has been causing my WiiU to crash (error code 160-0105) and I can't seem to transfer my USB data to any other software. Has anyone suffered this problem and knows of any solutions?

  • Otherwise, all I'm doing right now is switching my USB key from dock to dock. Apologies in advance if I drop out at start of battle. ALSO: I keep getting characters exceeding errors (121-5920), but I'm posting from my WiiU where characters are counted and I CLEARLY dont exceed tat limit.

  • Sorry. Does your post say your WiiU can only read your flash drive, and only if you plug it into a different socket than before? I'm not current on these things, but Nintendo discouraged using flash drives for backup because they can't be written to after a mystery length of time. Apple & Linux computers can (in theory) copy what Apple calls a disk image, so you might be able to restore your data.

  • What happens is that my WiiU will crash when a turf war starts in Splatoon. It says it cannot read my USB key, giving me the error code. I need to copy the data from my flash file, but can't do it from the WiiU menu

  • The error code indicates (I believe) a problem reading or writing to your flash drive. Flash drives can also fail just to function, sooner if repeatedly pluged in & out. See if the drive can be read by a computer. Brush & blow the WiiU & drive contacts, then try the drive in all the USB sockets (the back one). (You can always be like me, erase & restart Splatoon.-)

  • Never had a problem with my USB Flash Drive. I have two of them one I leave in the console & the other one I update weekly so I don't lose progress. How old is Ur Wii U? Also how old is Ur USB Flash Drive? How many save files are on the USB Flash & is it a cheapo? The San Disk brand is one of the better quality USB Flash Drive on the market. Don't take chances with Ur save files. SAD :(

  • Its a lexar with 8 gigs of storage! Its only half-filled with save states! And I can't recopy the data anywhere else, apparently. I'm just blowing on my USB docks like an old NES cartridge. It... Isn't half-bad? Except I can't copy data?

  • So if Ur USB Memory is not functioning properly what about Ur System Memory? What happens if U play without the USB Memory? Will U still have these errors? Have U tried the front USB ports on the System? I can't understand why it wouldn't let U copy Ur files? Sorry to hear Ur troubles with the Scumming. I'm not sure what U can do about it. Maybe something went wrong sometime ago with Ur console.

  • Maybe I'm just a crazy old man but do U unplug all Ur electronic during a thunderstorm? I had a older Sony T.V & had both HDMI ports blowout on me. So thereafter I simply unplug everything from the outlet.
