    Most likely not. The 3DS version is its own custom version of Minecraft specifically designed to run on 3DS hardware. At the moment, the 3DS version doesn't even support multiplayer; a future update will allow for local multiplayer with other owners of the 3DS version, but there's been no word of an update for online multiplayer.

    3ds will never handle minecraft to the extent that everything else can.

    It will but might take long time to update to the current minecraft so maybe by next year
