Would you have any tips on how to draw comic book style hands and faces?

Awesome drawing, as always. I'll miss Miiverse too, and all the people, posts, and art (especially yours). I met a lot of friends on here, and I'll miss the community.

Well Faceless, some basic stuff I know is to put harder edges to male faces than in real life, to look more manly. And give female faces less detail than in real life, because just small subtle lines, although realistic, can end up making a comic book character a lot older looking or maybe less attractive than you intend. And comicbook hero heads are a little smaller in proportion to their bodies

than the proportions of a real person. And on a male superhero, its better to err on the side of too big of hands or too bulky of shoulders, because small hands or small shoulders and such will make the hero look less manly, less heroic. But generally, drawing from real life or photos wiil help your art a lot. But remember that Cool usually trumps Realism, in my opinion. Try to balance the two.

I can think of a few things. When inking your work, put thicker lines under an object, be it a person's arm or whatnot, give it a hint of shadow or weight. And put thicker lines on things in the foreground, and thinner lines and less detail on those in the background. And when drawing actual comic pages, your main goal should be to make the action and story (and order to read the panels in) clear.

I won't really miss it, but I do remember many times I attempted to draw on this platform, but not reaching any level I could on paper. How did you drawers get such great lines and details on this?

It just takes a lot more time and patience than drawing on paper. Lots of erasing misplaced pixel dots and trying again. A zoom-in function would have been really awesome and time-saving. But I'll miss getting to show my art to so many people, and people that are into the slightly geekier side of life, that can actually appreciate the kinds of stuff I enjoy drawing.
