【２本の紫色の衝撃波は、ともし火の吐く炎の息をあっさりと斬り裂いた。そして勢いを緩めぬまま本体へと到達したのであった】ともし火「ぐぎゃあー！！」【一瞬で切り裂かれたともし火の身体から、見覚えのある仮面の妖怪が現れた】レイ「出た！」【レイは地上に降りると共に、２本の『村正』の切っ先を地面に突き立てた。そこには勿論、仮面妖怪の影があり断末魔の叫び声共に、それは消えて行ったのでした】レイ「終わった・・」【倒れ込んでいた火具魔に目をやると、レイに向かって右手の親指を立てる火具魔の姿がありました】

【『凍山』への道案内役を買って出た火具魔の身体の回復を待ち、いよいよミナを追って旅立つ日がやってきました】和尚「すまんのぅ。わしは寺の事があるから一緒に行くことができぬ・・」レイ「大丈夫。４００年前の後片付けと、必ずミナを連れて帰ってくるから！」火具魔「和尚さん行って参ります。レイちゃんとミナちゃんはわが命に代えてもお守りします」レイ「司は帰った方がいいよ。学校もある。これからの戦いに命の保証なんてないんだから」司「ぼ、僕も役に立てるか分からないけどミナちゃんの事が心配でいてもたってもいられないから・・一緒に行く！」レイ「・・」和尚「司君も子孫として役に立ちたいんじゃよ」レイ「・・もう」【こうして３人は『凍山』へ向かい出発しました。果たして『凍山』では何が待ち受けているのか？大きな運命の歯車が動き出している事に、まだ誰も気付いてはいませんでした】
