    His figurine is still in the game. Perhaps he wasn't high enough up in the air? I do know it took me a while to get a good picture of him.

    I think you need to zoom in a bit more. Or maybe ditch the ocean backdrop getting the sky behind him might make him stand out a bit more, which might makes it easier for the game to recognize him.
