Why FGH needs to be removed.

Now, for anyone that doesn't know what FGH stands for, it's short for For Glory Hell. FGH is basically a type of ban system for the online modes of SSB4. How this system works is after a certain number of players report you (via the result screen), you will be banned and only be able to connect to other players who are also banned. (Continued)

  • That sound fine, right? No, it isn't, because the game always assumes that ALL reports are loyal, so you could get banned for doing absolutely nothing wrong! Did you just meteor-smash that FG Cloud? YOU'RE BANNED! Are you a tournament level player looking for some challenge? YOU'RE BANNED! Did you just win that salty FG Link player, fair and square? YOU'RE BANNED! (Continued)

  • The ban you just unfairly received could also last between a day, to a WHOLE. ENTIRE MONTH. I know that ban systems are in place because of rude and ignorant players, but this just overpowered and unfair. I hope in SSB5 they either remove or change this rigged ban system entirely.

Pfft forget FGH, For Glory should be removed entirely in the next Smash title. It's a slog of scrubby players who still have dial-up with no ranking system in sight

  • I got banned so often, I quit.

  • @G/7 For Glory definitely needs improvements, but it shouldn't be removed entirely. (I don't want a repeat of what Brawl's online mode was.) @Poison That's the main reason I made this rant. I always end up back in FGH as soon as my ban ends and I'm really starting to get fed up with it.

  • This isn't so much a system, but a playground that works horribly. You have real noobs and spammers, and then really talented players. Does that sound like a good recipe?

  • @Mewtwo I've been noticing more of those types of players. It's either I'm going against players that act like they've never played SSB4 before, or I'm going against someone that could 2 stock me in a 1v1. (Can't forget about taunt parties, either.)

There needs to be a Ranking System where you're only faced against people with a Win Rate equal to or somewhere close to your own

  • I agree with my good buddy Nix, it's a great idea.

  • Honestly if I bothedred to every play FG I'd rather be in FGH. Why? Cause all the good players with good internet are there.

  • I think they're must be different servers for different countries and stuff like that, because online is very rarely fun, and all you can usually do is FG 1 on 1s. That means you'll get all sorts of spammers and even people who attempt to do a taunt party with you in FG. It's basically trashed. Luckily, I've never been banned, and I hope not enough people are actually online for that to happen.

  • @NixUnivers That's already in the game, but it wasn't implemented very well. @JDen 1v1s and 2v2s are really the only modes worth playing online, in my opinion.

  • FGH was the place where I got some of the closest games and where competent players get matched with other competent players. Shows how mature most for glory players are. Glad I managed to frustrate someone to the point of having them falsely reporting me.

  • @Uprising, when you live where I do, 1 vs 1's are literally all you can do anyway. The only thing that's ever somewhat active.

  • @Keven Don't get me wrong, I've had some great battles against players at around my level in FGH, but most of the time I end up there, it feels like I'm the only person playing online. (Except in 1v1s.)
