Why the hate on Smash 4 Luigi?

A lot of people are telling me that Luigi is braindead and takes zero skill. FALSE. Luigi is slow, slippery, has a bad recovery, and lack of range. He also gets pushed farther than any other character when holding shield so it can be hard to punish up close. I know he's capable of racking up a LOT of damage off of one grab but he's still only a C TIER character.

    He's much better than C. He's pretty good with his combos, has high priority with his aerials, an OP down b etc. But I don't know why someone should hate him. I don't like that he's a bit wussy like in smash. But that's all.

    And you need skill to be very good with him. Cloud is a braindead character. Or Cpt.Falcon. But Weegee isn't easy to master

    ZeRo even ranked him top tier (14th). C tier has Ness and Lucas as well (These 3 chars are better than C imo).

    His recovery is great! Better than a lot of characters. But yeah. It takes more than just a few minutes to main him.

    Well, Luigi used to be top 10 in the pre-patch days. He's only gotten a few major nerfs.

    there are some skilled Luigi players out there but his skill ceiling is very low. i know his ABC123 combos aren't true, but they are still very easy & rack up alot of damage for no reason. he has horrible traction which is a good thing because its hard to punish after hitting shield. Plus a few of his braindead combos are true on fast fallers. & he has a frame 3 combo breaker Nair ... why ?...

    This is the only game where Luigi really got to shine in competitive. He is THE worst character in 64, Mid tier in Melee, Mid tier in Brawl...

    Up B goes nowhere. Side B is good if you get a misfire or are able to charge it enough. You gotta be really good at mashing to rise with down B without a jump.

    I don't know what those people are talking about with Luigi taking no skill, I had to practice with him to get better with him, Luigi is an AWESOME Smash character who started rough. He is one of my 5 mains in Sm4sh after all.

    Also, Luigi's recovery isn't bad, he has the 2nd best recovery of my mains. Another thing, for those people who say Luigi takes no skill, if he takes no skill then Melee is PATHETICALLY easy to master. Yeah, I went there.

    I'm not kidding. Side B + Down B + Up B = great combo. And that's not even including his high jumps, which are already better than Mario. So, yeah.
