If you care about the first 12 Fire Emblem games, PLEASE don't buy Warriors

If Fire Emblem Warriors manages to succeed, it will only fuel the fire IS is burning the series' beautiful history in. Not because I dislike Awakening or Fates in any way, but even the celebration of Fire Emblem has vast majority FE:13/14 characters. If this succeeds, they may never again touch on the series past again.

    To be fair, the infamous "too many sword users" (cover has only sword users, almost every character uses swords) comment on character choice has people peeved. Ephraim would have been awesome (or anyone from Sacred Stones), Julia would have been awesome, and Hector would have been a dream come true. A true warrior on the battlefield...

    No offense, but what you've just suggested is counterproductive. I'm not suggest every FE fan should purchase Warriors, what I will say, however, is that not supporting it in an attempt to encourage Intelligent Systems to revisit old Fire Emblem games will only result in the franchise as a whole looking less lucrative, and, considering Echoes' sales, it doesn't need more help in that regard.

    What Johnny TLP says. I’m a bit upset as some people are about no lords from other FE games, but do you really think a failure from this game is going to help developers realize something?

    tbh even I'm a bit salty about the overabundance of fates and awakening characters but i'm still willing to give it a try. I can understand people being salty about the roster and not wanting the trope of Fates to continue, but it's a Warriors game, a Spin-off, it's not going to dictate the fate of the series it's just existing to bide time. I for one want this game AND want to play the old games

    @Danny I made that comment because he's posted his problems with the roster multiple times to the point where it was starting to get really annoying seeing the same thing in my activity feed, but this is crossing the line. I hope next time you'll actually look at more than one comment of mine before making a false claim about me you know nothing about.

    possibility I won't get any DLCs. Even though the roster isn't as varied as I want it to be(or how you want, because believe it or not, we're quite similar in that regard) I just say "Oh well," and move on. Lastly, even though I obviously did not like this discussion, answering it with more negativity is wrong, which is why I think Margarethe's response was completely uncalled-for.

    @Johnny, I see your point, and I will admit, this post is almost entirely just 'cause I'm salty, but eh. As I said, this is a hyperbolic statement for the effect I'm trying to achieve. I don't think Awakening, or Fates are terrible games, and while I'm not partial to their characters often, if you like them, and even if not, you are free to do as you please.
