    You got to shoot him in the face with an arrow. Preferably before he does his explosion attack or before he's going to breath fire.

    Naboris' Fury also stuns them so you can mount them. Otherwise you need to shoot them right in the face (nowhere else on the head works).

    You can't ride it, you can only wack it with your weapon. The more stamina you have, the longer you can damage the Lynel.

    Adam, how do you know that? I didn't. Recently I've figured out the best attack strategy when you have the Lynel headpiece is to have full Attack Up, go up to a Lynel and either charge a fully powered spear attack and release, or spin with a heavy weapon until the Lynel is about to attack. Then Naboris' Fury will stun it and you can do even more damage jumping on its back.
