So Daisy's in Mario Run...

So finally after over 28 years, Daisy makes her (playable) appearance in a 2D Mario game. Granted, Super Mario Run is a mobile game and not a mainstream title so it's baby steps I guess. This can lead into the possibility for her to appear in future mainline Mario titles if Nintendo decides to keep this momentum going, and can finally justify a reason her to be (cont)

    And before you say that Luigi and Toad don't have a purpose, Luigi was supposed to represent P2 and Toad was created to bring more life to the MK. Also, Pauline starred in the first Mario game and is one of the main reasons why the Mario series exists.     She(And Waluigi) is a problem in the Mario series. And not everyone likes loud voices. That is a good reason to hate Daisy, but you guys want to sit here and say that it's a dumb excuse.

    Okay? Then what's the point of Peach, if they had a perfectly good DIS character? Daisy also appeared in the first mainline handheld game. By your logic she has the same excuse has Pauline. And it is a dumb excuse. There's nothing wrong with thinking like that, everyone has opinions. But "too loud"? Don't say that doesn't sound stupid when you say that out loud.

    Actually it does. They got Daisy from SML and decided to put her into more games with a personality and everything. If she was useless in SML because Peach can replace her, then why do we have her in so many games? And before you say "Nintendo needed more human characters" May I remind you that Pauline exists.     ...Pauline is supposed to be realistic while SMB is fictional, therefore she doesn't fit in the plot. So hearing a loud voice everytime she hits a ball or lands a drift doesn't get annoying after awhile? Wth are you talking about? Sure, alot of Mario characters say stuff when they do something, but it's not as loud and annoying as Daisy.

    So by your logic, Peach doesn't fit in Odyssey because she's a cartoon character and the game has a realistic tone. And I don't mind Daisy screaming on top of her lungs. It doesn't get to me.

    Personally, I understand people not liking Daisy's voice (it is a bit shrill, but not too much for me). Plus, adding Daisy in games doesn't eat away at other characters' importance. Putting spin off characters in games adds flavor, spin off or canon. To me, the Mario & Rabbids game has a bland roster.

    @Kris Not really. Because there's 50+ characters that deserve to be in Mainline Mario more than Daisy does. Unfortunately, she was chosen to be a part of the Main cast. This is why people want Daisy more than the other 50+ characters. There's just no room for Daisy to at least be an NPC, and I think it's time to end Daisy's development so that other characters can finally get what they deserve.

    ''50+'', that's a gross overstatement. I doubt that many exist in both canon and spin offs, if you don't count multiple Shy Guys and multiple Toads.

    @Kris No it's not. Just look at the M&L games and the Paper Mario games. There's tons and tons of characters in both games. Combined with DK characters, Wario characters, and a bunch of characters I've missed. "But all of those games are separate from spin-offs and mainline Mario" If Diddy, a character strictly from the DKC games can get into spin-offs, plus that Miyamoto stated that...

    ...all Mario games are canon, there's no reason why they shouldn't appear in Mario games. @RedSplat How? Pauline would just be weird in SMB. Her design is much different than everything in SMB, making her look completely off and weird.

    (Might as well reply now) Does it matter? No. Look at Mario dancing beside Pauline in the recent Nintendo Direct. Mario is a weird franchise, it's only natural for it to break the rules.

    I would like to see Daisy in a main Mario game again. She's cute and ambitious. I like her much more than Peach. Peach is a running cliche.

    Yet it doesn't make any sense as to why Pauline is here. Plus who would rule the MK? And don't pull up my SML plot, because I've stated that there could be a king that's part of the plot but he's only mentioned in the manual, so there is a ruler there. SMH.
