  • This was one of the consoles that were a mistake, making it only last 5 years. I'm surprised they ended it so quickly though. Wii (if I remember correctly, don't eat me alive for this) was also a faliure, but it lasted a good 6 or 7 years!

  • Originally, the average life span of a console was five(5) years. I suppose you can blame 'Playstation 3', and 'Xbox 360' for bringing about the advent of new consoles to a crawl.

    Zetsu, average life span of a console is 5yrs. Wii/ps3/xbox 360 generation was an outlier. The original xbox lasted only 4yrs. Wii was far from being a failure unless you think 100 million plus sold is a failure. Plus it had great games to boot.
