    What is that pot? I've gotten all the glowing spots on the whole map and all the treasure charts and I never pulled up anything except treasure. Is there a chance to pull up garbage if you're not above a glowing spot?

    Yes, there's a chance that you'll end up pulling up junk if you're not right on top of the glowing spot. It's actually quite rare to end up pulling up junk--I've gone through a number of playthroughs back in the day, and my average junk pulls is definitely less than one per playthrough...
