All of a sudden, I feel like Nintendo should have put "Super Mario Bros. 3" in the "Appears In" section. If you hit a Spiny with your raccoon or Tanooki tail, it hides in its shell and you can kick or throw it like a Koopa Troopa's; although if it's rightside-up, you can't stop it from spinning.
