Any Robin tips?
I've always been fascinated by magical characters. I even mained a lightning mage in Happy Wars. Any tips on Robin?

Heavy Zoning & Proper Projectile spacing. He/She is very slow with the Slowest run speed in the Game & his specials have quite a bit of Lag. Robin is recommended for players who like Heavy Zoning, Fatal 50/50 Mix-Up Game, & Cornering their Opponent. Not Robin excels at cornering opponents but he has a crippling weakness to being Cornered himself

I play as Robin fairly often but I want to double-check some numbers before I state anything further.

I'm done double-checking what I wanted to. I'm going to focus on everything related to his throwable items since that's a core concept for him. The Elwind tome has 9 uses and recovers the fastest. These uses involve Up B and his rapid-jab combo ASSUMING you end it ASAP. For the love of god use his rapid-jab combo very sparingly or not at all. You obviously don't want get caught off-stage...

...without his Up B. When the Elwind Tome is blinking it has 2 uses left. The Nosferatu Tome has 4 uses and takes the longest to regenerate. This is the ONLY throwable item he has that is strictly connected to a single attack being Down B. Interestingly enough you recover more health if you hit your opponent's back. It might also be harder to mash out of but I'm far from sure. If you...

...connect with it in midair he will go into a free-fall animation if he's still airborne after the move ends. Don't do something like me such as fast-fall jumping from the ledge, immediately using it on your opponent at the ledge, free-falling to your doom, and having it recorded on a livestream. When the Nosferatu Tome is blinking it has 1 use left. The Arcfire Tome is connected to Side B...

...and his normal jab finisher. It has 6 uses and both moves count as a use. A LOT of skilled players can SDI out of Side B but it's still an effective wall and you can follow-up regardless using mix-ups. I'm sure it's possible to SDI out of his normal jab combo but that finisher has some serious power. I KO with it occasionally. I don't consider it safe to throw out though. This might be...

...a move you want to keep in reserve. The same actually applies to Nosferatu except on a more extreme scale. The Arcfire Tome will start blinking when it has 2 uses left. The Levin Sword has 8 uses. All 7 moves connected to it consume a use. Another little-known fact is that Robin essentially has aerial Smash Attacks. If you Tilt instead of Smash with his aerials he'll use his Bronze...

...Sword instead. I haven't tested this but having the second stick set to Attack might cause that to happen such as executing a retreating Forward Air/Back Air. I honestly have no idea. The Levin Sword will start blinking when it has 2 uses left. Now onto Robin's most complicated item...the Thunder Tome. It has 20 uses connected to the 4 charge levels of his Neutral B. First of all his...

...charges will never store between charge levels. For example if you start charging from Elthunder to Arcthunder but don't reach Arcthunder the next time you start charging it will be from the beginning of Elthunder. It's VERY important to know this because if you plan to charge his Neutral B and store it ideally you want enough time to reach your desired charge level and stop charging ASAP...

...when you reach it. Just to clarify charging doesn't take up any uses. Thunder takes up 1 use. Elthunder takes up 3 uses. Arcthunder takes up 5 uses. Finally Thoron takes up 8 uses. This is yet another complicated aspect of this tome. I'll state early that the Thunder Tome starts blinking when it has 5 uses left. However due to the individual use cost of each charge you will...

...practically always wind up with less than 5 uses when the Thunder Tome starts blinking if you mix up the charge levels you throw out. You can use any charge level as long as at least 1 use remains. For example if the Thunder Tome is blinking (indicating it has 5 uses or less) you can still use Thoron which takes up 8 uses. Speaking of when using do yourself a favor and hold onto Special...

...after activating Thoron. The beam is longer, has more hits, and deals more damage. Also Thoron has an insanely long animation if used midair. My advice is to try to avoid imitating Nairo using it off-stage. If you didn't know this already Arcthunder's multiple hitboxes will not activate against Shield. If you catch an opponent with it while you're fairly close it's absurdly easy to...

...combo from Arcthunder. Every charge level is useful so I suggest varying them to keep your opponent guessing. You can really mess with someone by not actually attacking with it for awhile and occasionally charging it. You can also opt to not charge it and use Thunder whenever. I dare argue that the Thunder Tome is his most versatile throwable item. Moving on there is a rule shared among...

...all of Robin's throwable items. If any attack that consumes a use is interrupted mid-animation it still counts as being used. This has actually saved me and even scored me KOs because on the last use if the animation gets interrupted the item gets thrown and quite a bit of the time it will hit your opponent. As throwable items the tomes do more damage than the Levin Sword. Regardless...

...every throwable item he has does significant damage and noticeable Shield damage if it isn't Perfect Shielded. The tomes are far more inconspicuous than the Levin Sword making them even deadlier. Also throwable items don't stale which makes them even more dangerous. Despite all this be careful throwing them. Your opponent can catch them. Since this explanation was so long I'm going...

...to recap a few key points I tried to portray. Despite all of the numbers I've thrown out you don't have to memorize it. Whenever a tome or the Levin Sword is blinking be ready to catch it. This is easiest with the Levin Sword, Arcfire, and Nosferatu tomes since the first two will have 1 or 2 uses left while the latter will always have 1 use left. Due to the Thunder tomes complexity I...

...think an important question to ask yourself is "Am I willing to experiment with Neutral B?". If the answer is "yes" then by all means experiment to your heart's content. If the answer is "no" don't even bother picking Robin up. I must emphasise that all of the opinions I expressed aren't absolute. I encourage you to take all, any, or none of them into account. Sorry this took so long.
