Is “Smash Bros.” good?

I am thinking about buying a new game and Smash Bros. is one that I'm considering. I would like a few opinions and the basic story line. I don't mind any spoilers.

    Super Smash Bros. doesn't really come with a story. It's just Nintendo characters smacking each other off a stage. It's a fighting game that's easy for newcomers to pick up and play. However, it has a lot of characters and items that only Nintendo fans would understand. If you're not familiar with them, it could be weird and wacky. :P …I like Peach because she can float.

    Smash Bros. is Definitely worth getting it. Sadly there’s no story mode in this game. My Favorite Characters are Mario, Mii Brawler, Mii Swordfighter and Doc

    There is no story mode just Smash Run. It is a mode where you kill enemies to boost your stats and fight your friends/cpu at the end. There are other different modes too but honestly, online mode is the only one I ever use. (I personally think Melee is better) but this is still a really good game.

    @ joshua, I already have mario maker and I dont think nintendo has made splatoon for the 3ds/2ds
