    The Wii U's era is over, the 3DS will soon follow and eventually both will have their wi-fi connections stopped leaving Miiverse completely pointless and unaccessible should they let it continue and Nintendo would be wasting money supporting its servers. So how is ending it a mistake when it was going to end regardless?

    @Sans - Miiverse was one of the things I actually went out of my way to use on a Nintendo system as you can't get anything like this anywhere else, especially the drawing ability as standard. My main game systems these days are my Xbox(es) except when I want to play handheld games, then I use my 3DS! With Miiverse going it is less likely for me to play or buy Nintendo games now or in the future!

    @Sans - Real life friends & friends online are two different sets of people. I hardly know anyone anymore in real life that has a Nintendo system, everyone I know mainly have Xboxes or Playstations these days & gave up on Nintendo long ago.. especially after the Wii fad. I don't even add friends on Nintendo systems that I don't know as you can't really get to know them unlike on other systems!

    @Gabe - Miiverse in a lot of ways is better than Twitter.. for one Miiverse has 3x the character limit almost per comment and it has drawing as standard/built in. Twitter is now only starting to increase their character limit to 280 characters for some users as a trial. As the 3DS & Wii U multiplayer servers being turned off.. it will be the next thing to go. I will give them 1 - 2 more years!

    @Gabe, Twitter is not very good, they don't allow you to use many characters when typing, so what's the point?!

    @Gabe - I agree that Twitter is a more professional & full featured & a faster social media but as I said it doesn't have drawing as standard & has less characters per comment & Twitter is not so intertwined with games like Miiverse is! And I am not your average bear here Gabe! :-)
