    Phantom Ruby-with unspeakable and remarkable powers, it affected the Master Emerald's ability to keep Angle Island afloat, causing it to fall back into the ocean once more, despite having infinite power. When channeling its power, it lets the user powerful enough to bypass the invulnerability of a Super State, and it can also travel you from a different area to another dimension.

    so super sonic isn't going to be enough to beat infinite since A. the phantom ruby allows the user to bypass the invulnerability of a super state, hence why in sonic mania, super sonic loses rings when heavy king attacks him and B it's been confirmed that infinite has infinite power.
