Hmm... Because I mastered Duelist.. does that mean I could use a Long sword to upgrade this subclass? (Duel guns and dual blades)

    Once you master a class branch you can use their 2 weapons in ANY class, even ones you have yet to master. Now you can use the Dualist weapons ALONG with the class you're currently in as long as you're in said class branch or master it! Skills are not limited to mastering class branches though, so you can use any earned skill in any unlocked class...just remember to reapply the skills.

    Each class saves it's skills separately, so you have to apply your skills in EVERY class. At least you don't have to reapply them every time you switch, weapons and arts are a different storry... Arts are only saved if you had a weapon type that begins with it, but only those weapons.

    Say if you master all classes with Galactic Knight the last one using Photon Saber & Psycho Launchers & go to Bastion Warrior, you'll be equipped with basic Shield & Gatling Gun. Then switch back to Photon Saber but use a Gatling Gun instead of Psycho Launchers then go back to Galactic Knight, you'll keep the weapon & I'm pretty sure you keep that weapon's arts. If not, it maybe more situational.
