You know, I used to defend Nintendo at one point. I used to recommend people to play their games and buy their stuff. Not anymore. I mean, banning people because they post where to find them on social media!? Seriously!?! I've never been more disappointed in Nintendo in my life! Hey Nintendo. Hope you enjoyed all those posts about how much I wanted your games, because I am heading to Sony

Well it's in the code if conduct which you agreed to wheb you signed up for miiverse.

  • I feel ya, For as amazing as Nintendo's games have been... their business ethics practices and their marketing practices have made them pretty unpopular against most avid gamers. Nintendo is fine with this because Nintendo has been and always will be the "family" console. They don't mind the fact they are basically betraying loyalty because there will always be new generations of young kids...

    Yeahs0
  • with over protective parents. Nintendo has become akin to Wal-Mart Employers among their consoles with an attitude "If you don't like us, go somewhere else, we'll just replace you."

Like LEX said, you agreed to Miiverse's code of conduct. Amongst those rules includes not sharing any personal information, including other forms of social media.

    Yeahs4
  • The problem I think Moonheart is trying to point out is that Miiverse allowed him to make friends, but now that it is shutting down, they are basically taking his only means of contact with said friends away, and are not allowing him to provide an alternate means of communication. We get its against the code of conduct, but as far as human decency thing, It's kinda messed up.

    Yeahs1
  • Also, he's not asking for advice... he's already solved it with his own solution. Sony and XBox Codes of Conduct are far more forgiving on every level compared to Nintendo. And as far as defending the code of conduct, yes we did agree to it, Nintendo caused an uproar back in the day because if you didn't agree to it, the Wii U became a paperweight until you did. Defending a code of conduct...

    Yeahs1
  • that forced you to agree if you created a NNID and would punish you for talking about content in the game, such as giving advice on hown to bypass computer systems in Deus Ex, is pretty asinine.

    Yeahs1
  • Yeah! Shame on Nintendo fo sticking to their own rules for their own site.

    Yeahs0
  • um this is kinda over reacting

    Yeahs0
  • Dude no offense but you did agree when accepting the Miiverse code of conduct and saying your going to Sony not going to prove anything and just comes off childish. I own Sony but have always had Nintendo and always will. Enjoy the games & not worry about social media. And a heads up..Sony is picky as well about what you can put in your about me description.
