Just in case you didn't know. For Art Academy users, [ ex.) AA, PAA, and DAA] you don't need miiverse to post your artwork, you just need a computer and patience. Assuming you have an SD card for your 3DS (note this is easier on the original 3ds than it is on the New 3DS and I don't know about WiiU sdcard slots) 1.Save/ export your drawing to your 3ds photo album.

  • Alternatively, if you have "other places" you can actually export drawings straight to said places using the 3DS image share function for you to download from. Although I'm not sure how or if it affects the image quality.

  • @Tintin Oh yeah! I forgot about that feature! Thanks for mentioning it. I just know that for flipnote, the quality is severely degraded since it's a pixel based animation program, and it not only blurs, but desaturates the colors. Hopefully for other games it's not as bad.

  • Now that I think about it, once it gets to Deevz I notice some weird color things that kinda make things rough around the edges. I'm not sure if it's when it's uploaded, when I download it, or when I upload it again. So not exactly a perfect transition, but it's not terrible.

  • Hmm, could it be optical illusion? I just learned about it in Drawing class the other week where if the colors are close to other colors (in this case the green background of D instead of MV's white) we naturally distort the color arrangement. But I never noticed that. I thought MV screenshots just got distorted in general unless specifically changed to match in game quality ex.) Pixel Maker.

  • You might be right, since it's fine on my phone but more grainy on a bigger screen. So maybe the stretching just gives it that weird aesthetic.

  • Just my two cents. If you don't want the trouble of removing your sd card all the time, you can just "mail" the picture to yourself, then download it to your pc and do whatever with it. You can access your "mail" account from your 3DS family system.

  • Thats what I do on Colors!3d. I upload the drawing to my gallery and grab it straight from my computer. Now for art academy and painting workshop? I just do what mika had said.

  • @[JTG]

  • @JTG Oh! I didn't know that!! I'll have to check out that feature later. Although I'm assuming it's for certain games only?

    Yeahs1
  • I seem to remember that you can download all of your Miiverse posts. I'm pretty sure they disappear from Miiverse when you do download them.

    Yeahs1
  • @Mikaharu The only requirement is that the software can export the image to the sd card, which most drawing software allows. Other than that, nope, no other restrictions.

  • @Grizz only if Nintendo deems that we didn't do anything wrong before the ban. It's also only main posts, not the comments that you've made to people. I mean I'm mostly safe since I saved most of them anyway, but comics and short stories I made will disappear since I did them in the comments and have been too lazy to save all of them— ex.)"The People Moment series, parts 1-3, that one PAA comic

    Yeahs2
  • I started called "Except Life", and ALL of those Tomodachi Life and Miitopia scenario drawings with screenshots or times I was just being silly with people who talked to me. It's those things that I want saved that Nintendo isn't doing probably because they're too lazy just like me. (Assuming that early offenses do not count for the long term post download after MV ends) @JTG Gotcha

    Yeahs2
  • Do you know if you can upload stuff directly from art apps on the Wii U to other places?

    Yeahs0
  • @Dr. Fab 2.0 Sadly I don't. ó v ò ;; I'd have to ask a user who has a WiiU. Sorry Fab.

    Yeahs1
  • You could access Miiverse from a PC and save screenshots. You might even be able to copy & paste text into a text editor. You could save all of your Miiverse account that way. I personally thought that Miiverse would last longer than this. Nintendo had been saying Miiverse would be up until games quit coming out. The sad fact is that most online communities die at some point.

    Yeahs0
  • successful since experiencing the verse that is closed pointed out that without restriction, people can be pretty messy and rude if allowed to be all under the pretense of a joke. As for the first mention, that's what I've been doing or atleast sometimes. Also what do you think'll happen to our Screenshot Gallery, since those are images we might not have posted yet?

    Yeahs2
  • I'm pretty sure the screenshot gallery will be downloaded when you download your messages. You're right Nintendo isn't very good with online communities. They just don't seem to understand how people want to interact online. It makes sense financially for Nintendo to close Miiverse because they want everyone to buy a Switch. I'm not convinced I want a Switch. ...

    Yeahs0
  • I keep hearing you will need a smart phone to get full functionallity with a Switch. I don't think Switch has a mic. Also, I hear that the joycon have been coming unattached while people are playing.
