    Woops, pretty bad typo in that post I made. Deleted it. I meant to say that he ISN'T terribly popular there. Reposting it. My understanding is that he isn't terribly popular there, although he apparently gained in popularity there after Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. Spider-Man still seems to be by far the most popular western superhero in Japan.

    There was a bat manga in the late 60's after the adam west tv show which was popular. Does it even matter if they like American comics? It's not that popular. They have Manga.
