    You can obtain palicoes by just questing and funding them outside of areas near camp. Or you can use streetpass and look at what your friends have to offer. But be careful and choose wisely, you can only have up to 10 palicoes on your team at the start but have up to 20 as you go in the story. And yes there are dragons, there are actually many diffrent types you face during this game.

    @angela High defense is only part of a good armor set. Now I'm guessing its lacking armor skills. You need both to have a good functioning armor set.
